You may configure the
Default Printer Assignment
to be any module and port
number of a port defined as
a printer port.
Notes
(beginning) has been
selected. Mode B
recognizes the end of a
print job only by inactivity
timeout periods. It will not
recognize manual
disconnect codes.
Used if you wish to have
the Model 24SII DES
automatically sent a form
feed character before
and/or after each print job.
Helpful when sending
DOS print jobs to an HP
Laserjet printer.
The same message is sent
for each device if I.D.
Page Message is enabled
for that port. It will
automatically be followed
with the logical port name
of the PC sending the print
job.
These should all be set the
same (beginning or end)
for ports where I.D. Page
Message is enabled to
make it easier to
determine whose print job
it is.
Any print job sent without a
port select sequence after
power-up will automatically
be routed to the default
printer.
