4.2 ADJUSTING MACHINE LEVELING

1.
Thoroughly clean the table, then place two precision level gauges (A,B) on the table, shown on below
figure (a).
2.
Adjust the leveling screws (4, 5) under the machine base until the leveling condition reaches within
0.02/1000mm indicated on the level gauge (B). See below figure (b).
3.
Adjust the leveling screw (1) until the leveling condition reaches within 0.02/1000mm indicated on the
level gauge (A). See below figure (a).
4.
Check again if the leveling condition indicated on the level gauges (A, B) are within 0.02/1000mm.
See below figure (a).
5.
Tighten the nut (6) on the leveling screws (1, 4, 5), as shown on below figure (c).
6.
Tighten the two auxiliary screws for the leveling screws (2, 3) (Fig. b) until they touch the leveling
block (7) (Fig. c). Then tighten the nut (6). Now leveling job is accomplished.
