  • Page 9 Your elliptical itself, is powered by you. Your programmable (CSE3HR Only) elliptical is powered by a power supply. The power supply must be plugged into the power jack, which is located in the front of the machine near the front foot tube.
  • Page 10 M M O O V V I I N N G G Your elliptical has a pair of transport wheels built into the front of the frame. To move, firmly grasp the console mast, carefully lift and roll.   • Page 16 R R E E S S I I S S T T A A N N C C E E During a workout, the amount of resistance can be adjusted by pressing the plus (+) or minus (-) buttons on the console. The resistance levels vary from level 1 to 16 (level 1 being the easiest and level 16 being the most difficult).

  • Page 19 T T H H R R Z Z O O N N E E Once the ‘THR Zone’ quick program key is selected, wait for 5 seconds and you will see the target heart rate flashing in the Heart Rate window. Using the chart on page 21, determine your target heart rate.
  • Page 20 Cleanliness of your elliptical and its operating environment will keep maintenance problems and serv- TIPS ice calls to a minimum. For this reason, Horizon Fitness recommends that the following preventive maintenance schedule be followed.   • Page 21 S S O O L L U U T T I I O O N N : : Remove the console and verify that the console cable is attached properly, making sure that the cable is securely inserted into the console. On the (CSE3HR), check power cords to ensure they are properly plugged in.

If you use your elliptical to prepare for a 5K run, you will probably work out at a higher intensity than if your goal is general fitness. Regardless of your long term goals, always begin an exercise program at low intensity.
