3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet,
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:
a. Remove the battery (see
b. Remove the service access cover (see
c. Remove the WLAN module (see
d. Remove the WWAN module (see
e. Remove the keyboard (see
f. Remove the top cover (see
g. Remove the display assembly (see
h. Remove the system board shield (see
Remove the modem module:
1. Turn the computer right-side up, with the front toward you.
2. Disconnect the modem module (1) from the system board by lifting it straight up.
3. Disconnect the modem module cable (2) from the modem module, and then remove the module
from the computer.
Reverse this procedure to install the modem module.

Bluetooth module

NOTE: The Bluetooth module spare part kit does not include a Bluetooth module cable. The
Bluetooth module cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 649758-001. See
on page 24
