AIR POWER TOOL PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! Immediately switch off the power tool if any of the following occurs:
• Malfunction of the air inlet, air compressor or damage to the air supply hose.
• The switch or trigger is broken.
• User sees or smells smoke.
• The user smells the odor of scorched insulation.
• The chisel moves in an unsafe way.
1. Ensure air source matches the pressure rating of the tool's motor (see Specifications).
2. Make sure the power switch is in the OFF position before connecting the tool to the air source.
3. Do not place the tool down until the chisel has stopped moving.
The chisel may catch the surface of work material and wrench itself free, causing injury to the
user or others in the work area.
4. Never use a tool with a cracked or worn chisel. Change the chisel before use.
5. Always use both hands when operating the tool, unless the tool is designed for single hand use.
6. Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where it may contact
hidden wiring or its own cord. Contact with a live wire will electrify exposed metal parts and
shock the operator.
7. Before using the tool on a work piece, test the tool by running it at the highest no-load speed
for at least 30 seconds in a safe position. Stop immediately if there is any abnormal vibration or
wobbling that could indicate poor installation of the chisel. Check the tool to determine
the cause.
8. Take work breaks to prevent the tool's motor from overloading and/or overheating.
9. When the tool is in operation, keep hands away from the chisel and the area it is
being applied to.
10. Do not use the tool on any material containing asbestos.
11. Do not touch the chisel or the surface that has been cut with this tool immediately after use.
The surface will be hot and may cause an injury.
12. Do not allow persons who are not familiar with the tool or have not read these instructions to
use the tool.
