    INTRODUCTION Using The Feature Section The Feature section of this manual is in alphabetical order. The features are divided into headings as follows: Description tells what the feature is and describes its bene- fits. Along with the Description are the Conditions and Default Configuration.

    INTRODUCTION (cont’d) Default Configuration lists the default (factory-installed) setting for the program. When initially installed, the sys- tem uses the Default Value. Programming To change the system's programmable options, you must have a telephone connected to port number 1. To enter data for an option, just access the option and enter in the appropriate information from the Program Record Form.

    ACCOUNT CODE CAPABILITY Available Available Account Codes are user-dialed codes associated with trunk calls. An extension user can enter an Account Code before making an outside call or during a previously established call. If the system is programmed to force an Account Code entry, it must be done before the call is made.

    ALARM CLOCK Available Available The Alarm Clock lets a display phone user set two alarms as a reminder for appointments, meetings, etc. The alarms sounds daily at the set time unless cancelled.     ALPHANUMERIC DISPLAY Available Available Each display phone is equipped with a 2-line, 16-character Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). These displays are used to help the display telephone user process calls, identify callers, send and receive Text Messages, and customize features.     CALL TIMER Available Available The Call Timer lets a display keyset user time their outside calls on the telephone display. This helps users who must keep track of their time on the phone. There are two ways to activate the timer. The first type would be done in the system programming.

    CALL WAITING (CAMP-ON) Available Available With Call Waiting, an extension user may call a busy exten- sion and wait in line (Camp-On) without hanging up. The call goes through when the busy extension becomes free. This lets callers wait in line for a busy extension without being forgotten.

    CALLER ID Available Available with software 2.1B and higher. Caller ID allows a display keyset to show an incoming caller’s telephone number and/or name with the time and date on the phone’s display. The caller’s information can be checked before answering an incoming call.
