To enable you to obtatn optimum
enjoyment
from the recerver's
listening
modes,
make sure to complete
the speaker
settings
(subwoofer,
front,
center,
and surround
speakers)
as described
below.

a Turn on the power to t/us receiver by pressmg
POWER (I /c!I) key.
a Select a speaker system.

the SET UP key such
that
the subwoofer
setting

ON" appears.

knob or keys to select

pnate subwoofer
setting.

When the setting "SUBW OFF" IS selected,
the front speakers

automatically
set to "FRNT LRG" and the procedure
skrps to step 0.

When subwoofer
output sound IS requrred, select "FRNT
NML"

the SET UP key to accept
the setting.

For "FRNT
LRG" selection,
no sound will be heard from SUBW
even when it IS set to ON. However,
if you select CINEMA EQ when
subwoofer
IS selected,
you will be able to hear sound from the
subwoofer.
When In STEREO mode, the sound goes directly to front speaker.
0 Press the SET UP key to accept
the setting.

From your
usual listentng
position,
adjust
the volume
levels. The
volume levels from each speaker
should be the same.
0 Use the MULTI CONTROL
knob or keys to adjust
the volume
level of the test tone output
from
the speaker
channel
to be
adjusted.
The channel Indication blinks while the test tone IS betng output.
The test tone
IS
heard
from
the speakers
m the following
sequence
for 2 seconds
each:

If you change thevolume
level settings for the speakers
while lisientng
to mustc, the settings
referred
to on thts page are also changed.

If the speaker
setting selects are OFF, the speaker
level settings
are
reset,
Q Press the SET UP key.

The test tone IS turned off. The recerver
enters the mode for Inputting
the distance
to the speakers.
