Searching for your code
Re-assigning device keys
If your component
does not respond
after tryrng all the codes listed for your
component,
or if your component
IS not listed at all, try searchrng
for your
code.
For example,
to search
for a code for your TV:
The remote control
can be set up to control
a second
TV or VCR, or any
combrnation
of erght home entertarnment
components.
For example,
to control
a TV a Cable Converter,
and two VCRs usrng the
remote control,you
will need to re-assrgn
the unused CD key to operate the
second
VCR as follows:
a Press the TVkey once. Next, press and ho/d the SET UP
key until the LED blinks twrce, then release fhe SET UP
key.
H Press the numer/c key to enter "9 - 9 - 1"
l
The LED will blink twrce.
a Pomt the remote control at the TV and slowly alternate
between pressmg the POWER and TV keys.
l
Stop when the TV turns ON/OFF
l
In the search
mode, the remote
control will send IR codes
from its
librarytotheselected
devrce, starting with themost
popularcodefirst.
0 Press the SET UP key once fo lock m the code.

To search for the codes of your other components, repeat
steps
q
through H, but substitute the approprrafe key
(i.e., DVD, CBL, VCR, TV, DSS, CD or RECEIVER) for the
component you are searchmg for.
Checking the codes

you may need to find out whrch four-digit
code IS operating
your equrpment:
For example,
to find out whrch code IS operating
your TV:
q
Press fhe TV key once. Next, press and hold the SET UP
key until the LED blinks twrce, then release the SET UP
key,
m Press the numeric key to enter "9 - 9 - 0"
l
The LED will blink twrce.
q
To tvew the code for the first digit, press "7 " once. Waif
for 3 seconds, count the number of times the LED blinks
(e.g., blinks = 3) and write down that number.
l
If a code digit IS "O", the LED will not blink.
a Repeat step 0 three more times for the remarnrng digits.
Use "2" tar the second dtgif, "3" /or the fhrrd digit, and
"4" for the tourfh digit.
q
To check the codes of your other components, repeaf
steps 0 through 8, but substitute the appropriate key
(i.e., DVD, CBL, VCR, TV, DSS, CD or RECEIVER) for the
component you are checking.
l
As suggested
earlier on, write down each of the four- digit code.
q
Press and ho/d the SET UP key until fhe LED b/inks twice,
then release the SET UP key.
B Press the numerfc key to enter "9 - 9 - 2"
l
The LED will blink twrce.
IE) Press the VCR key once, then press fhe CD key once.

To re-asslgn other dewce keys, repeat steps 0 fhrough

IS done, the LED will blink twrce to confirm your
chorce.
At that time, you will need to program
the remote
control rn
order to control the new component.
