Operation Manual – GVRP
H3C S9500 Series Routing Switches
1.2 Configuring GVRP
GVRP configuration includes configuring GVRP functions and configuring GARP
timers.

1.2.1 Configuring GVRP Functions

Follow these steps to configure GVRP functions on a trunk port:
Enter system view
Enable global GVRP
Enter
Ethernet
interface
view or
port-group
view
Enable GVRP on the port
Configure the GVRP
registration mode on the
port
Note:
Because GVRP is not compatible with the BPDU tunneling feature, you must
disable BPDU tunneling before enabling GVRP on a BPDU tunneling–enabled
Ethernet interface.
Because global GVRP is not compatible with Isolate-user-VLAN, make sure that no
isolate-user-vlan has been created on the switch before enabling GVRP.
You should enable GVRP globally before enabling it on a port.
The port on which you want to enable GVRP must be a trunk port.
