Playing the C-330

Playing the sounds of another keyboard (Couplers)

You can use a specific keyboard to play the sounds of a different keyboard. For example, you could finger "Manual–I" (the lower
keyboard) to simultaneously play the sound selected for "Manual–II" (the upper keyboard). These functions are known as manual
couplers.

Using a manual coupler

1.
Press the lower part of one of the [I/P], [II/P], or [II/I] division tablets in the "PEDAL" or "MAN I" divisions.
The indicator will light, and the coupler setting will be selected. Pressing the upper part of the tablet will turn off the indicator.
The following table shows the function of each division tablet.

Using the melody coupler

When you use the melody coupler, the highest note you finger on the manual–I keyboard will also be sounded by the stops selected
in the manual–II division. This function allows you to simultaneously play accompaniment and solo registrations by fingering a single
manual.
1.
Press the melody coupler [MEL] piston.
When the melody coupler is on, the piston's indicator will light.
Press the piston once again so the indicator goes out.
If you turn on the [II/I] manual coupler, the melody coupler effect cannot be obtained.
