Using headphones

The C-330 features Phones jacks. These allow you to play without
having to worry about bothering others around you, even at night.
However, you should be careful that you don't disturb your
neighbors, since floors and walls can too easily transmit vibrations
(especially vibrations from the pedalboard). You should be
especially careful at night or when you're using headphones.

1.
Connect your headphones to the [Phones] jack
underneath the left side of the keyboard.
The sound from the built-in speakers stops.
Now, sound is heard only through the headphones.
2.
Adjust the headphones volume with the [Master Volume]
knob and Expression pedal.

Some notes on using headphones

fig.00-31.eps
• To prevent damage to the cord, handle the headphones only by the
headset or the plug.
• Headphones may be damaged if the volume is too high when they
are plugged in. Lower the volume on the C-330 before plugging in
headphones.
• To prevent possible auditory damage, loss of hearing, or damage to
the headphones, the headphones should not be used at an
excessively high volume. Use the headphones at a moderate
volume level.
• Accepts connection of Stereo headphones.
• If plugs of the headphones are plugged into the [Phones] jack, no
sound will be heard from the C-330's speakers.

Using the external memory

Songs you record on the C-330 and Registration sets you create can
be copied to separately available USB memory for safekeeping.
You can also play back performance data that's been stored on USB
memory (p. 40).
Use USB memory available from Roland. Proper operation cannot be
guaranteed if other USB device is used.
We cannot guarantee correct operation if other brands of USB
memory are used. Note that only USB memory keys can be used—
never use any other kind of USB device.

Connecting the USB memory

1.
Connect the USB memory to the USB connector.
fig.Connect-USB-1.eps
When inserting USB memory, make sure that it is
oriented correctly, and insert the memory all the way
into the connector.
If you're using new USB memory, you'll need to initialize (format) it
on the C-330. For details, refer to "Formatting USB memory" (p. 44).
This connector in the middle (USB FOR UPDATE) and
the small switch A and B are only for technical service
use. Never connect anything to this connector.
