off, or after the machine is pow-

Adjusting Copy Image Density

You can adjust the copy image densi-
ty to match your originals.
If you require darker or lighter cop-
ies, adjust the image density yourself.

Press the { { { { Lighter} } } } or { { { { Darker} } } } key
to adjust the image density.

Selecting an Original Type

There are two ways to match your
originals:
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ Text
If you do not select either mode,
your originals will be scanned
with the settings suitable for text
originals with this mode.
❖ ❖ ❖ ❖ Photo
Delicate tones of photographs and
pictures can be reproduced with
this mode.
Note
❒ You can change the detailed set-
tings for Text and Photo each with
the User Tools. See p.54 "Settings
You Can Change with the User
Tools".

Press the { { { { Original} } } } key, and then
select the original type.
Note
❒ Press the { { { { Original} } } } key to step
through the following types:
Upper indicator lit Text
Lower indicator lit Photo
