5. Be sure the server blade is not rebooting repeatedly:
a. Be sure that the system is not rebooting due to a problem that initiates an
ASR-2 reboot.
ASR-2 is defaulted to restart the server blade automatically, loading the
operating system. If a critical error occurs, ASR-2 logs the error in the IML
and restarts the server blade.
For more information, refer to the HP ProLiant Servers Troubleshooting
Guide.
b. Use the iLO remote console or the video connection provided through the
local I/O cable connectors to identify a possible thermal event.
6. Restart the server blade. If the server blade does not restart, proceed to the
"Server Blade Diagnostic Steps" section in this appendix.
7. Check the server blade for the following normal power-up sequence to be sure
that the system meets the minimal hardware requirements and is powered up
during normal operations:
a. The power on/standby LED changes from standby (amber) to on (solid
green).
b. The fans start up.
c. The health LED flashes during the POST process; it changes to solid green if
POST is successful.
8. View the iLO remote console or the video connection provided through the local
I/O cable connectors for the following boot messages to be sure the system meets
the minimal hardware requirements and is powered up during normal operations:
a. ProLiant logo
b. Memory test
c. ROM information
d. Copyright information
e. Processor initialization
