    Entering Text Using the Input Panel Use the input panel to enter information in any program on your Model 70. You can type using the soft keyboard or you can write using the Letter Recognizer, Block Recognizer, or Transcriber. In all cases, the characters appear as typed text on the screen.
  • Page 33 When you use the input panel, your Model 70 anticipates the word you are typing or writing and displays it above the input panel. When you tap the displayed word, it is inserted into your text at the insertion point. The more you use your Model 70, the more words it learns to anticipate.

Write a letter in the box. When you write a letter, it is converted to typed text that appears on the screen. For specific instructions on using Letter Recognizer, with Letter Recognizer open, tap the question mark next to the writing area.

    Using the Model 70 To select typed text • Drag the stylus across the text you want to select. You can cut, copy, and paste text by tapping and holding the selected words and then tapping an editing command on the pop-up menu, or by tapping the command on the Edit menu.

The next time you connect, the mail server sees that the messages are missing from the Model 70 Inbox and deletes them from the server.

    Both computers are updated with changes made to either list each time you synchronize. Unless you mark the favorite link as a mobile favorite, only the link is downloaded to your Model 70, and you will need to connect to your ISP or network to view the content.

    Model 70. You want your Model 70 battery charge to last as long as possible, especially when you are on the road. Under normal conditions, you can get many hours of use from a single set of batteries or from a full charge.

    Program memory is used to run programs on the Model 70. The Model 70 automatically manages the allocation between storage and program memory. However, in some situations, such as when memory is low, the Model 70 may not be able to automatically adjust the allocation.
