English Place your fingers in the recesses of the side panels and gently pull the upper part of the front panel towards you (1). Then lift the hooks at the bottom of the panel out of the bottom of the appliance (2). To remove the pre-filter, grab the two projections and pull the filter towards you. Remove all other filters from the appliance. Remove all packaging material from the filters. Put filter 4 (HEPA filter) back into the appliance. Note: Make sure that the side with the tag points towards you.

English Lift the water bucket out of the appliance (1). Then remove the water tank from the back of the appliance (2). Note: You cannot remove the water tank without first removing the water bucket. English Remove the packaging material from the humidification filter. Put the humidification filter in the water tank lid. Unscrew the top cap of the water bucket. Fill the water bucket with cold tap water. Note: Do not touch the valve at the bottom of the water bucket, otherwise water leakage occurs. Screw the top cap tightly back onto the water bucket (‘click’).
English Slide the water tank back into the appliance (1). Then put the water bucket back into the appliance (2). English Air purification combined with air humidification When you set the appliance to air purification combined with air humidification, the appliance cleans the air and humidifies it at the same time. Note: Make sure the water bucket is filled with water when you want to use the air humidfication function (see chapter ‘Before first use’).
English Cleaning and maintenance Always unplug the appliance before you clean it or replace a filter. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. Never use aggressive or flammable cleaning agents such as bleach or alcohol to clean any part of the appliance. Only the pre-filter, the humidification filter and the water softener are washable. All other filters are NOT washable. Body of the appliance Regularly clean the inside and outside of the body to prevent dust from collecting on the inside and outside.
English Unscrew the top cap of the water bucket. Fill the water bucket for 1/3 with water. Add some mild washing-up liquid to the water in the water bucket. Screw the top cap tightly back onto the water bucket (‘click’). Shake the bucket to and fro with both hands to clean the inside of the water bucket.
English Clean the water softener under a running tap with the cleaning brush supplied. Do not use any other substance than water to clean the water softener. Wipe the water from the water softener with a soft, dry cloth. Place the water softener back into the water tank. Align the two projections of the lid with the holes in the water tank and put the lid on the water tank. Then close the four clips to lock the lid (click).
English Clean the humidification filter gently with the cleaning brush supplied under a slowly running tap. Put the humidification filter back into the water tank. Descaling to clean the humidification filter: Descale the humidification filter when the first speed light (with the indication CLEAN 1/5 above it) flashes. Note: It is important to descale the humidifying filter to avoid scale build-up, which would seriously affect the humidifying performance. Remove the humidification filter from the water tank.
English Filter replacement and reset procedure Filter maintenance When any of the filters has to be replaced, the speed light under the filter number concerned and the ‘REPLACE FILTER’ light start to flash. You then have to replace this filter. To ensure that the filters are in optimal condition when the appliance is operating, the appliance is equipped with a lock system.
English Replacing the filters and resetting the appliance Tip: Place the appliance against a wall for more stability when you remove or insert filters. Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Follow the instructions in chapter ‘Before first use’, section ‘Placing the filters’ to remove old filters and place new filters. Note: Always use a new filter to replace an old filter. Note: Make sure you reattach the front panel properly.
