Handset settings
Activating /deactivating suppression of the first ringer tone
The first ring is muted so that you are not disturbed by an incoming text message. You
can change this setting so you can hear the first ring too.

If you accept a call on the first ring and if this ring has signalled a text mes-
sage, then the message will be lost.

Sound Manager

You can use the Sound Manager to record polyphone melodies (maximum length
4 seconds) or transfer them with a data cable (max. 16 kb) (page 84). You can store up
to 16 melodies.

You do not want to hear the first ring:
Press the key.
Confirm.

Press the display key or wait 4 seconds, the recording
is terminated.
Your recording is played back automatically.
Store the recording.
Enter a name for the melody.
Store the name.
Long press (back to idle status).
