TWO-SIDED COPYING

Two-sided copies can be made by manually placing originals on the platen glass as described in the
procedure below. Fully automatic two-sided copies can be made from one-sided originals if either an
optional single pass feeder (SPF) or an optional reversing single pass feeder (RSPF) is installed. See
page 97. Additionally, fully automatic two-sided copying of two-sided originals or one-sided copying of
two-sided originals can be made if an optional RSPF is installed. See page 100.
NOTES:

Paper sizes that can be used in the 2-sided copy mode are A5, B5, B5R, A4, and A4R (8-1/2"
x 11" and 8-1/2" x 11"R).
If a dual function board is installed, paper sizes that can be used are A5, B5, B5R, A4, A4R,
B4, and A3 (8-1/2" x 11", 8-1/2" x 11"R, 8-1/2" x 13", 8-1/2" x 14", and 11" x 17").

The image for the second side can be rotated 180° top to bottom to allow tablet type binding.
(Only when the optional dual function board is installed.)

5KEY OPERATOR If two-sided copying is disabled using a key operator program, the procedure
below cannot be performed. See page 135.

Place the first original face down on the platen glass and close the
platen cover.

Press the 2-SIDED COPY key.

The 2-sided copy mode selection screen will appear.
