G) CLOG REMOVAL
If the vacuum cleaner does not seem to have adequate suction, first check if the dust bin is full or if a filter is clogged.
Refer to EMPTYING DUST BIN (page 14), PRE-FILTER CLEANING (page 15), PRIMARY FILTER CLEANING (page 16),
and HEPA MEDIA EXHAUST FILTER REPLACEMENT (page 16).

Turn off and unplug the vacuum
cleaner.
Remove dust bin and check for clogs.
Check the hose inlet area.
Visually inspect the tools, the hose,
and the nozzle hose area into which
the hose is connected.
MC-UL426 ONLY:

Turn off and unplug the vacuum
cleaner.
Remove lower plate (See BELT
REPLACEMENT, page 18).

Check the suction inlet area.
Remove any visible clog.
Plug in the vacuum cleaner and turn
on.
Stretch the hose to maximum length
and then allow the hose to return to its
storage length.
If the dust bin and filter areas and the
hose areas are free of clogs, check
the nozzle area.

Inspect inlet of nozzle hose and clear
any obstructions.
Reinstall lower plate (See BELT
REPLACEMENT, page 18).
Return the vacuum cleaner to the
upright position before plugging
into an electrical outlet.

Remove nozzle hose from body by:
(1) pressing in locking tab
(2) sliding up and out of retaining slot.
(3) Inspect nozzle hose and
clear any obstructions.
Replace nozzle hose by sliding down
on retaining bracket until you hear a
click.
Return the vacuum cleaner to the
upright position before plugging into
an electrical outlet.
