Advanced Options Menu
The Advanced Options menu enables you to configure advanced options of the
system. The following selections are available on this menu:
Set Service Contact Text defines reference information for the service
contact of the server.
MPS Table Mode is automatically set based on the operating system
selected and is used for interrupt routing. By default, this setting is Auto Set
Table.
Hot-Plug Resources sets the hot-plug reservation mode. By default, this
option is set to Auto Set.
POST Speed Up quickens POST by disabling the extended power-up
memory test. By default, this setting is Enabled.
POST F1 Prompt configures the server so that when an error is encountered
during the power-up sequence, you must press the F1 key to proceed
(Enabled option) or the system pauses ten seconds before proceeding
(Delayed option). The F1 Prompt option can also be Disabled. By default,
this setting is Delayed.
Redundant ROM Selection toggles the server ROM between the current
ROM and the backup ROM.
Erase Non-volatile Memory resets the non-volatile memory of the server to
an initial, factory state.
Erase NVRAM/Boot Space Disk enables you to reset the configuration
settings to their factory defaults and to erase the boot disk, including the
operating system.
Set CPU Corrected is used to indicate that the previously failed processor
has been corrected or replaced.
Wake-On LAN enables or disables the WOL feature for all NICs in the
server. By default, this setting is Enabled.
NMI Debug Button enables debug functionality when the system has
experienced a software lock-up. By default, this setting is Enabled.
