Engine oil

Only use synthetic high-quality oils (Shell Advance Ultra 4) meeting or
surpassing the quality requirements of API classes SG, or SH (for
specifications see containers).

Checking the engine oil level

The engine oil level can be checked when the engine is cold or warm.
To check, place the motorcycle in an upright position on a level surface
(center stand).
If the engine is cold, the oil level should be visible at the lower edge
the inspection glass.
If the engine is warm, the oil level should be visible at the upper edge
the inspection glass.
Add engine oil if necessary.

Oil circuit

The oil pump
oil filter
sprays engine oil onto the piston pin bearing and piston head. The second
oil lead takes the main flow of oil to the microfilter
the finest impurities.
The cleaned engine oil is pumped through the oil lead and the clutch cover
into the crankshaft to the connecting rod bearing
crankcase. An additional oil pump
case and pumps it through the oil line

Via the gear wheels, the engine oil reaches the oil sump. The timing chain

runs through the oil sump and transports the engine oil upwards to the
