INSTALLATION - VENTED TO THE OUTSIDE
I-I-IDUCTWORK, WIRING LOCATIONS
Determine the exact location of the vent hood.
• Locote the templote pocked with the literoture.
- IVleosure 36" from the floor to the top of the cook-
ing surfoce. Add hood instollution height deter-
mined on previous poges. IVlork thor Iocotion.
- Use u level to draw u straight pencil line on the wall.
- Tope the templote in position olong the penciled
line. CHECK TO BE SURETHE TEIVlPLATE IS LEVEL.

Cabinet/Ceiling ducting:
If ductwork will vent stroight up to the ceiling or
cobinet:
• Use u level to drow o line struight up, from the cen-
terline on the templote to the ceiling/cubinet.
• IVleusure 6-5/8" from the bock woll to the centerline
of on 8-1/2" hole on the ceiling/cobinet top.
NOTE: If drywoll is not present, odd drywoll thickness
to the 6-5/8" dimension.
Wall Ducting:
If ductwork will vent to the reor:
• Use o level to drowo line stroight up from the
centerline on the templote.
• IVleosure ot leost 8 1/4" obove the hood chossis
top surfoce Iocotion shown on the templote to the
centerline of o 8-1/2"-dio. duct hole. (Hole moy be
elongoted for duct elbow.)
House Wiring Locution:
• The junction box is Iocoted on the top right side of
the hood.

•Wiring con enter the cobinet from the ceiling or
bock woll.
• Route odditionol wiring length to reoch the junction box.

PREPARATION
IMPORTANT
--The vent hood must be secured
to the cobinet ond ot leost two woll studs ond
drywoll with onchors. Cobinet must be copoble of
supporting 100 Ibs.
• With the templote toped in ploce, use o punch to
mork oil mounting screw Iocotions. Mork duc-
twork, screw ond electricol holes occording to
your opplicotion.
• Drill o minimum 3/4" hole for electricol coble in
the bottom of the cobinet.
• Drill 1/8" pilot holes ot the 4 punched Iocotions on
the bottom of the cobinet.
• Drill 1/8" pilot holes ot the 4 punched Iocotions on
the woll
• Remove the templote.
• Enlorge holes thot did not enter studs to 5/16".
Top onchors for woll fosteners into the holes.
