2.2 Setup of DHCP Server
By the factory default, US40a obtains network addresses from DHCP server. In the network that
uses the DHCP server, you may skip the procedure to provide settings for update on US40a by
using DHCP options.
You can also specify not to use the DHCP server for update on US40a.
DHCP options to be used in US40a:
The initial values of DHCP options for US40a are as follows. You may change DHCP
Option No. by setting for US40a.
– DHCP Option No.: 163
Description: Select a protocol (FTP or HTTP) to be used in software update.
Format: Byte
Value: 0x0 if FTP is selected or 0x1 if HTTP is selected
– DHCP Option No.: 161
Description: Enter the name or IP address of FTP/HTTP server.
Format: Character string
Value: Server name or IP address
– DHCP Option No.: 162
Description: Relative path name in FTP/HTTP server
Format: Character string
Value: Path to the folder (in the example above, type as "US40aUPDATE".)
