48 About US40a
US40a uses remote desktop connection for connecting with a virtual PC. The remote desktop
connection allows US40a to be connected with a virtual PC only by entering the computer name of
the virtual PC. Specify the address of the virtual PC assigned by the system administrator to start the
connection.
Firstly by saving the configured connection information in the option settings of the [Remote
Desktop Connection], then by specifying [Default RDP Connection] in [Startup Setting] of US40a,
you can connect with the virtual PC automatically after the power-on of US40a.
Use Control Panel for any setting change of US40a. You can select the Control Panel from the
[Start] menu.
At the first startup of US40a, initial settings are applied. Name of each US40a is assigned, and the
network is configured initially to obtain the network address from the DHCP server. If you do not
need to modify the initial settings, use the [Control Panel] as is.
Activate the remote desktop connection to connect US40a to the virtual PC.
At the second or subsequent startup of US40a, the operation for obtaining US40a setting
information and update files is done automatically according to the settings of the administrator.
To minimize operations on US140a helps you to understand thin client system and enables simple
and easy operation.
