    Please check for new versions in the download area. 2. Operating instructions This manual describes how to operate and administer the IP50, IP52 and IP54 DECT telephones. All instructions are described using the keys of the IP52 and IP50. For information on which keys to use to operate your innovaphone IP telephone, see the overview below.

    3.2. Charge battery To be able to turn on and use your DECT telephone, the battery must be charged. When the telephone is shipped from the factory, the battery is inserted in the battery compartment, connected and pre-charged. New batteries must be continuously charged for a duration of 3.5 hours before they are used, since they are shipped discharged.

    3.4. Register DECT telephone with the innovaphone PBX The configuration for a new telephone first has to be set up on the innovaphone PBX. For a description of the procedure, please refer to the "innovaphone PBX Administrator Manual". For this, the IPEI number is necessary, which can be found under the battery and on the device’s packaging.

    4. Phoning with the DECT telephone In chapter 3, you successfully registered your DECT telephone with the innovaphone PBX and logged on to a base station. This next chapter provides information on how to use and operate the DECT telephone.

    4.1.3 Key sequences keys Function Accept a waiting call Switch between active call and call on hold The connection set up is deleted before the consultation connection is set up. Replaces hang-up for hold and retrieve. Once a second connection has been set up, the active line is connected with the line on hold using this key sequence.

    Usually, an action is initiated with a * character and is cancelled with a # key. You can activate feature codes on the web administration interface of the gateway, which is working as an innovaphone PBX. Note: Additional information on administration may be found in the VoIP gateway.

    4.4.1 Diversion options The call diversion function allows you to be available even whilst absent. Note: Call diversion operates in accordance with the H.450 standard. The gatekeeper must support this protocol. The IP adapter supports three different types of call diversion, which are operated with the following codes on your telephone.

    4.4.3 PIN The PIN is used to prevent unauthorised access. You can use this function to activate the protection and specify the PIN.     At places subject to direct sunlight. Some types of furniture varnish or cleaning products can damage the plastic feet of the IP50, IP52 or IP54 comfort telephone and leave marks. In these cases, make sure you put the equipment on a stable, non-slip surface.
  • Page 28 Cleaning Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the surface of the equipment housing. Do not use any chemicals or abrasives. The equipment does not require any maintenance. Malfunctions There is no need to open the device if it is operated and serviced as intended. Do not open or reconnect faulty equipment.
