Chapter 5 BIOS
Drive A / Drive B
These fields identify the types of floppy disk drive A or drive B that
has been installed in the computer. The available specifications for
floppy drives are:
360KB, 5.25in.1.2MB, 5.25in. 720KB, 3.5in.1.44MB, 3.5in.,
2.88MB, 3.5in.
Floppy 3 Mode Support
This is the Japanese standard floppy drive. The standard stores 1.2MB
in a 3.5in diskette. You
have four options to choose:
Disabled
Drive A
Drive B
Both
Video
This field selects the type of video display card installed in your
system. You can choose the following video display cards:
EGA/VGA
CGA 40
CGA 80
MONO
Halt On
This field determines whether the system will halt if an error is detected
during power up.
All errors
No errors
All, But Keyboard
All, But Diskette
All, But Disk/Key

No 3 mode floppy drive installed.(default)
Installed 3 mode drive at drive A.
Installed 3 mode drive at drive B.
Installed 3 mode drive at drive A and B.
For EGA, VGA, SEGA, SVGA or PGA monitor
adapters.(default)
Power up in 40 column mode.
Power up in 80 column mode.
For Hercules or MDA, includes high resolution
monochrome adapters.
Whenever the BIOS detects a non-fatal error the
system will be halted and you will be prompted.
The system boot will not be halted for any error that
may be detected. (default)
The system boot will not be halted for a
keyboard error; it will stop for all other errors.
The system boot will not be halted for a disk
error; it will stop for all other errors.
