FIRST TIME INSTALLATION

One antenna/one LNB configuration

Select this alternative if you have one (1) LNB mounted on the antenna.
• Press opt to view the predefined channel.
LNB type
Select the correct LNB for your configuration. The most common values, includ-
ing Universal LNB, are selectable with cursor left/cursor right.
LNB offset voltage
If the cable down from the antenna is very long, the voltage at the LNB could be
too low to change the polarisation. You can increase the voltage to the LNB by 0.5
V.
Satellite
Select one of the preprogrammed satellites.
Predefined channel
Select one of the predefined channels and adjust the antenna until you have a TV
picture from the predefined channel visible in the background.
• Press select to confirm all settings and continue to the channel search proce-
dure.

Multisatellite/DiSEqC switch configuration

Select this alternative if your antenna system has more than one LNB.
You can connect up to 4 LNBs. The selection of the different LNBs must be con-
trolled by an external switch.
• Select alternative "DiSEqC 2 input switch" if you have a 2-way DiSEqC switch.
• Select alternative "DiSEqC 4 input switch" if you have a 4-way DiSEqC switch.
• Select alternative "Mini DiSEqC switch" if you have a mini DiSEqC switch.
In this case you must first connect the LNBs to an external switch since there is
only one antenna input on the Mediamaster. Once installed the switch automati-
cally selects the correct LNB for the selected channel.
This external switch is better known as a DiSEqC
be located close to the LNBs, you only need one cable down to the Mediamaster.
Typical connection of a two-way DiSEqC switch:
• Connect the cable from the LNB intended for channels from the ASTRA satel-
lite (or THOR) to the connector marked LNB 1 (A) on the switch.
• Connect the cable from the HOTBIRD satellite (or SIRIUS) to the connector
marked LNB 2 (B).
• Then, connect the antenna cable to the connector marked OUT on the switch.
• Connect the other end of this cable to the ANTENNA input in the rear of the
Mediamaster.
