Replacing V-Belt

Tools Needed:
hex Wrench 6mm ...............................................1
hex Wrench 8mm ...............................................1
To replace the V-belt:
1.
disConneCt BandsaW FroM poWer!
2.
open both wheel covers, and remove the
blade.
3.
loosen the motor mount screws shown in
figure 57.
4.
rotate the motor up to loosen the v-belt, then
tighten the motor adjustment screw.
5.
pull the v-belt off of the motor pulley.
6.
unthread the wheel mount bolt shown in
figure 58 and slide the lower wheel off of the
bearing shaft.

7.
slip the old v-belt off of the wheel pulley and
install the new v-belt in its place.
8.
install the lower wheel back onto the bearing

shaft and replace/tighten the wheel mount
bolt.
9.
slip the new v-belt onto the motor pulley.
10. rotate the motor down to tension the v-belt,
then tighten the motor adjustment screw.
11. Check the v-belt tension and adjust if neces-
sary as described in the Tensioning V-Belt
instructions on page 44.
12. When the v-belt tension is correct, tighten the
motor hinge bolt and close the lower wheel
cover.
