Debris or grit on the mating surfaces will
not allow the chuck or faceplate to evenly
seat onto the spindle back plate. This con-
dition could allow the chuck or faceplate to
vibrate loose during use and cause serious
personal injury. A wobbling workpiece also
degrades the accuracy of the operation.
