Service Procedures

Most of the KitchenAid
Food Processor components are
contained within the food processor motor housing. Perform
the Component Access procedure to gain access to the food
processor components.
When removing self-tapping screws from
NOTE:
any plastic or metal housing, the filings
created will be scattered onto adjoining
components. Prior to performing any
reassembly procedure, make sure to
remove all the filings using clean rags,
low-pressure compressed air, etc.
COMPONENT ACCESS (HOUSING BASE REMOVAL)
- ALL MODELS -
Most replacement procedures will require access to the inside
of the food processor. To gain access to the food processor
components:
1.
Unplug the power cord.
2.
Turn the food processor on its side on a cushioned
surface.
3.
Using a T-20 torx driver, remove the four (4) M4X18
stainless steel screws securing the housing base to the
motor housing.

Remove the housing base from the motor housing.
5.
Replace the housing base onto the motor housing in the
reverse order.
