5 Engine does not reach maximum rpm under load
Possible fault
Air in fuel system.
Fuel filter clogged with water
and/or contamination.
Leaking fuel supply line or fuel
injection line.
Faulty injector/injection pump.
Setting of stop valve incorrect.
Oil level too high.
Lubricating oil incorrect SAE
spec or quality for ambient tem-
perature.
Incorrect valve clearance.
Exhaust restricted.
Insufficient intake air.
Wrong fuel quality or contami-
nated fuel.
Incorrect injector timing.
Leak in inlet manifold.
Engine overloaded.

Oil level too low.
Faulty oil filter.
Faulty turbo compressor.
Heat exchanger dirty or clogged
as a result of rubber particles
from a worn impeller.
Insufficient intake air.
Leak in inlet manifold.
Motor becomes apparantly over-
heated as a result of faulty tempe-
rature switch, sensor or meter.
