Caller ID operation

How caller ID works

If you subscribe to caller ID service provided by your telephone service
provider, information about each caller appears after the first or second ring. If
you answer a call before the caller information appears on the screen, it will not
be saved in the call log.
The caller ID history stores information about the last 80 incoming calls.
Each call can hold up to 13 digits for the telephone number and 16
characters for the name. If the number has more than 13 digits, only the first
13 digits are shown and saved in the call log. If the name has more than 16
characters, only the first 16 characters are shown and saved in the call log.
Call log entries appear in reverse chronological order.
You can review the call log to find out who has called, and to return the call
without dialing the number.
TOTAL XX NEW XX displays when there is new call information (including
missed and calls that have not been reviewed).
-END OF LIST- displays when you reach the end of the call history entries or
there are no call history entries in the call log.
