Setting defaults

DN-F650R can record audio input on an SD card in the unit or to a USB drive. DN-F650R is equipped
with various recording and playback settings so that you can use wide-ranging applications to
record and play back.
DN-F650R also allows you to program up to three preset settings. Use this feature to preset
recording and playback setting patterns in advance, according to your purpose. You can switch the
settings for a specific purpose by simply selecting the preset number.

Menu operations

Power switch

Press the power switch.
The power of DN-F650R is switched ON and the power indicator lights blue.

While DN-F650R is stopped, press
• The menu list is displayed.
• For details on each of the setting items in the menu, see "Menu list" (vpage 10).

Rotate the jog dial to select the setting item that you want to change, and press the
jog dial.
The following level menu list is displayed.

Select the setting item that you want to change, and press the jog dial.
• The setting item is chosen.
• To continue to set other items, perform the operation in step 3.
• To return to the upper level menu from the menu item currently being set, press and hold the jog dial.

After you finish all settings, press
The changed settings are saved, and the DN-F650R returns to the stopped status.

Settings for recording or playback (Presets)

These settings are performed independently for each of the 3 presets (Preset-1/Preset-2/ Preset-3).
Firstly, select the preset number that you want to set from "01 Presets" in the menu.
Next, select "02 Edit".
Setting Items
01 Storage
SD Card: Access the SD Card.
Selects the priority of
USB Drive: Access the USB drive.

Bal: Records the RCA analog input terminal source.
Selects the audio input
Unbal: Records the XLR analog input terminal source.

03 Rec Format
MP3-320 / MP3-256 / MP3-192 / MP3-128 / MP3-64 /
Selects the audio format
PCM-16 / PCM-24
(MP3 or PCM) for recording.
• Select the bitrate for the MP3 format.
• Select the quantized bit number for the PCM format.
NOTE
When "96 kHz" is set for "05 Fs", you cannot select the MP3 format.
04 RecChan (Rec channel)
Stereo: Records in stereo (2 channels).
Select whether to record in
Mono: Records in monaural (1 channel).
stereo or monaural.
44.1k: Records at 44.1kHz.

05 Fs (Sample rate)

Selects the sampling
48k: Records at 48kHz.

96k: Records at 96kHz. Select when "PCM-16" or "PCM-24" is set for
"03 Rec format".
