Precautions for Use
• Do not connect the product to any device not spe cifi cal ly referred
to in this manual. Please note that the EH-61 can not be used with
devices that use the EH-60 AC adapter (available separately).
• Remove the power cable from the power outlet when not in use.
• Do not short the DC plug.
• Do not apply excessive force to the DC plug or cable while the AC
adapter and camera are con nect ed. Failure to ob serve this precau-
tion may re sult in mal func tion.
Connecting the AC Adapter
Before connecting the AC adapt er, be sure the camera is off.
Follow these steps to connect the adapter (Figure 2; illustration shows
COOLPIX 3100):
1 Plug the AC adapter plug into the AC adapt er (Figure 2-a).
2 Open the door which cov ers the DC IN connector and in sert the DC plug
into the DC IN con nec tor (Figure 2-b). When using the COOL-STATION
MV-10, insert the DC plug directly into the DC IN connector.
3 Plug the wall plug into a pow er out let. The POWER lamp will glow
showing the EH-61 is plugged in.
If the POWER lamp does not light, unplug the AC adapter and take
the charger to a Nikon representative for in spec tion.
4 Turn the camera on.
You can now use the camera. When operating the camera with the AC adapt-
er, take care that the camera does not ac ci den tal ly be come un plugged.
✔ IMPORTANT
Before disconnecting the AC adapt er, be sure the camera is off.
Unplug the DC plug from the camera's DC-IN con nec tor, then
unplug the pow er cable from the power source by pull ing on
the plug, not the cable.

Nutzungshinweise
• Schließen Sie den Netzadapter nur an Geräte an, die
ausdrücklich in dieser Dokumentation genannt sind. Bitte
beachten Sie, dass der Netzadapter EH-61 nicht an Geräte
angeschlossen werden darf, für deren Stromversorgung der
Netzadapter EH-60 (als Zubehör erhältlich) vorgesehen ist.
• Ziehen Sie das Netzkabel aus der Steckdose wenn Sie den
Netz ad ap ter nicht benutzen.
• Achten Sie darauf dass Sie die Kontakte des Adaptersteckers
nicht versehentlich kurzschließen.
• Während der Netzadapter an die Kamera angeschlossen ist
sollten Sie das Adapterkabel und den Stecker des Adapter-
kabels keiner Belastung aus set zen. Andernfalls kann es zu
Fehlfunktionen kommen.
Anschluss des Netzadapters an die Kamera
Ehe Sie den Netzadapter anschließen, stellen Sie sicher, dass
die Kamera ausgeschaltet ist.
Gehen Sie dann in der nachfolgend beschriebenen Reihenfolge
vor (die Abbildung zeigh die COOLPIX 3100).
1 Schließen Sie das Netzkabel am Netzadapter an (Ab bil dung
2-a).
2 Öffnen Sie an der Kamera die Abdeckung für den Anschluss
des Netzadapters und stecken Sie den Stecker des Ad ap ter k-
a bels in den DC-IN-Anschluss (Abbildung 2-b). Wenn Sie mit
der COOL-STATION MV-10 arbeiten, stecken Sie den Stecker
des Netzadapters direkt in den NetzadapteranscÅhluss der
COOL-STATION.
3 Stecken Sie den Netzstecker des Netzkabels in eine Steckdo-
se. Die Netzkontrolllampe (POWER) leuchtet auf und zeigt
an, dass das EH-61 angeschlossen ist.
Falls die Netzkontrollleuchte (POWER) nicht leuchten sollte,
entfernen Sie den Netzadapter wieder und lassen das Gerät
bitte bei der nächstgelegenen Nikon Servicestelle überprüfen.
4 Schalten Sie die Kamera ein.
Sie können jetzt mit der Kamera arbeiten. Wenn Sie die Kamera
über den Netzadapter mit Strom versorgen, sollten Sie darauf
ach ten dass die Ver bin dung zwischen beiden Geräten nicht ver se -
hent lich getrennt wird, wäh rend die Kamera eingeschaltet ist.
✔ WICHTIG
Bevor Sie die Kabelverbindung zwischen Kamera und
Netzadapter tren nen, soll ten Sie sicherstellen dass
die Kamera ausgeschaltet ist. Ziehen Sie zuerst den
Stecker des Adapterkabels von der Ka me ra ab, und
ziehen Sie anschließend das Netzkabel aus der Steck-
dose. Fas sen Sie das Netzkabel beim Abziehen immer
am Netzstecker an, niemals am Kabel selbst.

secteur EH-61. Cette alimentation est destinée aux appareils
photo numériques Nikon COOLPIX 3100, 2100 et SQ.
Avant d'utiliser ce produit, lisez attentivement à la fois ce do-
cu ment et le Guide de la photographie numérique fourni avec
votre appareil photo.
Mesures de précaution
Pour utiliser correctement ce produit, lisez attentivement ce
manuel avant toute utilisation. Gardez-le ensuite précieuse-
ment dans un endroit facilement accessible à tous ceux qui se
serviront de ce produit.
Précautions d'utilisation
• Ne connectez pas ce produit à un appareil ou périphérique qui
n'est pas spécifi é dans ce manuel. Veuillez noter que l'alimen-
tation EH-61 ne peut pas être utilisée avec des dispositifs qui
fonctionnent avec l'alimentation secteur EH-60 (optionnelle).
• Retirez la fi che alimentation secteur de la prise de courant
lorsque vous ne vous en servez pas.
• Ne créer pas de court-circuit avec la prise électrique.
• N'exercez pas de force excessive sur les fi ches d'alimenta-
tion secteur et chargeur lorsqu'elles sont connectées. Ceci
pourrait entraîner un mauvais fonctionnement.
Connecter l'alimentation secteur EH-61
Avant de connecter l'adaptateur secteur, vérifi ez que l'appareil
photo est bien hors tension. Suivez les étapes suivantes pour con-
necter l'adaptateur (l'illustration montre le COOLPIX 3100).
1 Branchez le cordon d'alimentation dans l'alimentation sec-
teur (fi gure 2-a).
2 Ouvrez la porte de l'appareil photo couvrant le connecteur
DC-IN et insérez la fi che de courant dans le connecteur
(fi gure 2-b). Si vous utilisez la station d'accueil COOLPIX
"COOL-STATION" (MV-10), insérez la prise électrique di-
rectement dans la sortie "DC-IN".
3 Branchez le cordon d'alimentation dans une prise de cou-
rant. Le témoin lumineux de mise sous tension s'allumera
pour in di quer que le EH-61 est bien installé.
Si le témoin de mise sous tension ne s'allume pas, débran-
chez l'adaptateur secteur et apportez le à un centre de
service agréé Nikon pour vérifi cation.
4 Mettez l'appareil-photo sous tension.
Vous pouvez maintenant utiliser votre appareil photo. Lorsque
l'ap pa reil photo fonctionne avec l'alimentation secteur, veillez
à ce qu'il ne se débranche pas accidentellement.
✔ IMPORTANT
Avant de déconnecter l'alimentation secteur, as su rez-
vous que l'appareil photo est éteint. Dé bran chez la
fi che alimentation boîtier, puis dé con nec tez la fi che
alimentation secteur en tirant sur la prise et non sur
le cordon.
