Wiper blades and washer fluid

Wiper blades
Service position
The wiper blades must be in service position to
facilitate replacement or washing.
1. Turn the remote control key to position 0,
see page 70, and keep the remote control
key in the ignition switch.
2. Move the right-hand stalk switch up for
about 1 second. The wipers then move to
standing straight up.
The wipers return to the starting position when
the car is started.
Replacing the wiper blades

Turn up the wiper arm. Press the button
located on the wiper blade mounting and
pull straight out parallel with the wiper arm.
Slide in the new wiper blade until a "click"
is heard.
Check that the blade is firmly installed.
NOTE
The wiper blades are different lengths. The
blade on the driver's side is longer than the
blade on the passenger side.

IMPORTANT
Check the wiper blades regularly.
Neglected maintenance shortens the serv-
ice life of the wiper blades.
