6. FIX
By using the FIX button you can lock the
IN SEWING MODE:
stitch at the beginning and/or at the end. The LED next to the
button is lit when FIX is activated. Press the FIX button to turn
off the function.
The FIX function is automatically activated when a stitch is
selected or when STOP, the Selective Thread Cutter* or Stitch
Re-start* has been used. You can turn off the automatic FIX
function in the SET Menu, see page 28. No tie-off stitches will be
sewn unless you select the FIX button on your machine.
The FIX function can be programmed (see page 38).
IN EMBROIDERY MODE:
embroidery area (see page 64).
7. Reverse
If your press the button while sewing, the machine will sew in
reverse until the button is released. Then your sewing machine
will sew forward. The LED on the button is lit when reverse is
activated.
For permanent reverse, press the button once before starting
to sew. Your sewing machine sews in reverse until you press the
button again.
Reverse is also used when sewing buttonholes, bartacks, darning
and tapering stitches* to step between the parts of the stitch.
8. Start/Stop
IN SEWING MODE:
Press this button to start and stop the
machine without the foot control. Press START/STOP once to
begin sewing and press again to stop sewing.
IN EMBROIDERY MODE:
and press again to stop. Your machine stops automatically at color
changes and when the embroidery is nished.

9. Selective Thread Cutter
IN SEWING MODE:
and your machine ties off the threads, cuts the top and bottom
threads, raises the presser foot and the needle, and activates the
FIX function for the next start. To cut threads at the end of
a stitch or stitch program, press Selective Thread Cutter while
sewing. The LED next to the button starts ashing indicating
that a cut is requested. When the stitch or stitch program is
completed, the upper thread and bobbin will be cut.
The Selective Thread Cutter function can be programmed (see
page 38).
Note: Your machine cuts automatically after a sensor buttonhole or an eyelet
is sewn. Automatic Selective Thread Cutter can be cancelled in the SET
Menu, see page 29.
IN EMBROIDERY MODE:
presser foot. Top thread only is cut automatically at color changes.
When the design is nished both top and bobbin threads are cut
automatically.
