Connecting an external device

Using the stereo jack plug (ø 3.5 mm), connect the sound output jacks of the
external device (for example, PC or MP3-Player) to the » AUX« socket on
the device.
Note:
Switch off the device when connecting it to an external system.
Connecting headphones

Insert the headphone plug (ø 3.5 mm) into the »0« socket on the right side
of the device.
– This switches off the loudspeakers.
Connecting the power cord
Note:
Check that the mains voltage on the type plate (on the bottom of the device)
corresponds to your local mains supply.
The only way to disconnect the device from the mains supply is to pull out the
plug.

Inserting batteries in the remote control

Open the battery compartment by pushing down its lid.

When inserting the batteries (2 x 1.5 V, R 6/UM 3/AA), observe the
polarity marked on the base of the battery compartment.
Note:
If the device no longer reacts properly to remote control commands, the bat-
teries may be flat. Be sure to remove used batteries. The manufacturer
accepts no liability for damage resulting from used batteries.

Batteries, including those which contain no heavy metal, may not be disposed
of with household waste. Please dispose of used batteries in an environ-
mentally sound manner. Find out about the legal regulations which apply in
your area.
