[HDD] [RAM] [DVD-R]
≥It is possible to dub a programme or play list to another drive.
≥Dubbing a play list will create a programme.
≥You can dub a maximum of 250 programmes to HDD and 99
programmes to DVD-RAM or DVD-R.
Preparation
≥Switch [DVD, TV] (15) to "DVD".
≥Recording to the HDD:
Confirm there is sufficient empty space for recording on the
HDD. (page 26)
Recording to the disc:
Insert a disc that can be written to.
≥For the dubbing of picture shown on a 16:9 television:
You can select the kind of picture display using "Dubbing
Aspect" (page 74).
≥For the dubbing of bilingual channel sound:
When dubbing bilingual channel sound using a recording mode
other than "High Speed", the kind of sound may be selected at
"DVD-RAM Dubbing Audio".
When dubbing bilingual channel sound to DVD-R or dubbing
sound using LPCM, the setting at "Bilingual Audio Selection" is
given priority (page 74).
Press [HDD] (6) to select the HDD drive.

(3) Use [2, 1] (10) to select "Programmes" or "Play Lists".
≥You cannot select "Play Lists" if you selected "DVD-RAM
)HDD" in step 4-(1).
(4) Use [3, 4] (10) to select the programme or play list for
dubbing and press [ENTER] (10).
≥To register more than one, repeat steps 5-(2) to 5-(4)
(Check that the dubbing list "Amount" does not exceed
the "Remain" indicated).
≥You can also select the programme or play list with the
numeric buttons (0, 1-9).

Select the recording mode.
(1) Use [3, 4] (10) to select "Rec mode" and press [ENTER]
(10).
(2) Use [3, 4] (10) to select the recording mode and press
[ENTER] (10).

* Cannot be selected for programmes with recording limit or

High Speed:
This mode carries out recording at high speed. Using this
mode allows you to dub using less time than the actual
duration of the programme. Note that it is not possible to
view the picture during high speed dubbing.

While the screen in step 4 is displayed
Use [3, 4] (10) to select "Start Dubbing" and

press [ENTER] (10).
The confirmation screen will be displayed.
Use [2, 1] (10) to select "Yes" and press [ENTER] (10) to
start dubbing.
≥Dubbing starts.
ªTo add or remove from the dubbing list
While the Dubbing List (step 5-(1)) is displayed
1) Use [3, 4] (10) to select the dubbing list and press [1] (10).
2) Use [3, 4] (10) to select an item and press [ENTER] (10).
≥If you choose "Add", carry out steps 5-(3) and 5-(4). Addition

will take place above the programme selected in step 1 of
this operation.
≥If you select "Erase" or "Erase All", a confirmation screen will
be displayed. Use [2, 1] (10) to select "Yes" or "No" and
press [ENTER] (10). (Return to Dubbing List.)
ªTo stop dubbing halfway through
Keep pressing [RETURN] (23) for 3 or more seconds.
≥Stopping dubbing in High Speed mode partway through will
cancel the recording and any data recorded up to that point will
be lost. In all other recording modes if dubbing is stopped halfway
