5-8 Procedures after Completion of Installation

NEC MWA

NEC MWA is an application that enables remote management of the server (this product) through a
management PC over the network. (A management PC is a computer running NEC ESMPRO
Manager.)
To establish communication between the server and the management PC, install "NEC MWA" in
the management PC. For NEC MWA, see the separate volume of User's Guide.
System Requirement
The hardware and software environment in which NEC MWA runs is:
Management PC (to install NEC MWA)
NEC MWA runs on a computer where Windows is operated. For more information, see
"MWA First Step Guide".
The servers that can be maintained remotely by NEC MWA
Servers which the User's Guide provided with NEC Express5800/ft series include
descriptions of NEC MWA. The servers are equipped with RomPilot or BMC. This product
has BMC (IPMI1.0) and RomPilot.
Installation of NEC MWA Manager
To mange this product using NEC MWA, install NEC MWA Manager on the management PC. Use
the "NEC EXPRESSBUILDER" CD-ROM to install NEC MWA Manager.

Start up Windows.

CR-ROM drive: \mwa\doc\jp\mwa_fsg.pdf

Insert the "NEC EXPRESSBUILDER" CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
Master Control Menu of NEC EXPRESSBUILDER will be automatically displayed.
