English
If transmission ends abnormally for reasons other than those listed
above (e.g., circuit cut, transmission cancellation by pressing Stop
key, document removed from tray, etc.) and before operations switch
to T.30 protocol, the fax machine switches to the Redial Wait mode
and the situation is treated as for normal communications.
An alarm occurrence when switching to T.30 protocol is treated the
same as for normal G3 communications.
Communication with the Fax2Net server is not possible with Closed
Network communications ON. Switch the Closed Network setting to
OFF before using Fax2Net.

Connected to normal telephone service

If the fax machine is connected directly to a normal telephone service and
the receiving fax machine is located at an international destination, the
communication will be transmitted via a general international telephone
circuit if a "+" sign is entered before or after the international prefix (i.e.,
Fax2Net will not be used).
For example: If the international prefix is 900 and the telephone number
entered is 900 81 3 1234 5678, the communication will be transmitted to
the receiving fax machine (81-3-1234-5678) via Fax2Net. However, if the
telephone number is entered as +900 81 3 1234 5678 or 900+ 81 3 1234
5678, the communication will be transmitted via a general international
telephone circuit. Use this method if you do not want to use the Fax2Net
service.
Note 1:
Communications made using chain dialling, do not use
Fax2Net for direct transmission.
Note 2:
If Fax2Net is to be used, do not add the "+" sign to the
telephone number.
Note 3:
When sending a communication using the numeric keypad to
enter the telephone (fax) number, do not enter the "+" sign as
the first figure. Use the 8/+ One Touch key to enter a "+" sign.

Connected to a PBX

If the fax machine is connected directly to a PBX, make sure the dial
prefix is entered first. The next steps are the same as that listed above for
connection directly to a normal telephone service. If the "+" sign is
entered either before or after the international dialling prefix, Fax2Net
will not be used.
