o Keep yourhands atleast3 in.from
thecutting wheel.
o Inspect theabrasive cutting wheel
before every operation. Check for
cracks, c hipping andcorrect s peed
ratings onthecutting wheel.
1. Place theworkpiece f latonthe
machine base.
2. Firmly secure thematerial tobe
cutusing themachine's v iseclamp
assembly.
3. Whencuttinglongworkpieces,
support t heopposite endofthe
material witha rollerstandor
witha worksurface level w iththe
machine.
4. Before turning themachine on,
perform a dryrunofthecutting
operation toverifynoproblems w ill
occurwhenthecutis made.
5. Turnonthemachine by depressing
thetrigger s witch(1).Allowafew
seconds forthewheel t o buildupto
fullspeed before lettingitcomeinto
contact w iththeworkpiece. (Fig.K)
6. Oncethemotor hasreached full
speed, s lowly lowerthehandle
ofthecutting armuntil t hecutting
wheel c ontacts theworkpiece.
Continue to usesteady, even
pressure t oobtain a uniform cut
through theworkpiece. Donotforce
thewheelintotheworkpiece.
7. Whenthecutis complete, release
thetriggerswitch andallowthe
wheeltostoprotating BEFORE
raising thecutting armoutof the
workpiece.
