The menu system

The D6000 offers a number of user choices which are normally accessed
less frequently than, for example, source and volume. To make it easier
to operate these less commonly used functions, we have provided a
flexible menu system to guide you through the options. One important
advantage this gives is complete flexibility for future system control
options. Please note:
The menus are different in Normal and Setup modes

it goes.

bass alignment or choice of subwoofer modes.

Use of balance controls
The use of the balance control has been misunderstood for some time. It
has been assumed that you can use it to move the image to one side,
perhaps to compensate for a non-central listening position or a highly
asymmetric layout.
This is certainly not the case. Stereo sound is dependent upon time
differences between the signals from the channels. To get the best out of
a normal stereo system, you should be in the correct position in relation to
the speakers.
