Preparation before Setup

IMPORTANT:
Be sure to read the following before system installation or setup.
1. Check necessary packages
The following packages are needed to use NEC ESMPRO Agent.
All the packages are installed upon OS installation. If there is any package which is not installed,
please install it.

gawk
glibc
initscripts
libstdc++
net-snmp
net-snmp-utils
newt
portmap
sed
slang

2. SNMP service settings
To monitor from NEC ESMPRO Manager, it is necessary to change SNMP environment setting
file (/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf) to set a community right to more than "READ WRITE".
Refer to the following to modify the environment setting file by vi command etc.
rwcommunity public default
3. Environment settings of snmpd
Run the following command to set snmpd to start automatically.
# /sbin/chkconfig --level 345 snmpd on
