6 Troubleshooting
The printer memory is full and cannot continue processing the current print job.
• Press the <Eject/Set> button to clear the message, cancel the current print job,and
conduct the next print job, if any.
• Press the <Cancel> button to cancel the print job.
• Press the <Menu> button to open the Print Menu and delete the job being held.
• To avoid this error in the future, do the following:
• Delete unnecessary fonts, macros, and other data in printer memory.
• Install additional printer memory.
Error relating to PCL emulation problems has occurred.
• Press the <Eject/Set> button to clear the message, cancel the current print job,and
conduct the next print job, if any.
• Press the <Cancel> button to cancel the print job.
Paper is jammed inside the printer. Press the button to open the front cover and
remove the jammed paper.

RAM disk memory is full and cannot continue processing the current print job.

• To avoid this error in the future, do the following:
• Reduce the number of print pages such as splitting the print data.
• Increase free memory space by deleting unnecessary data in the RAM disk.
The printer internal temperature is too high. Processing on the printer has been
slowed down. When the internal temperature falls, the processing speed will
automatically rise.
The printer is in the custom toner mode. Though some of the print cartridges reach
the end of their lives, you can continue printing.

error continues, contact our Customer Support Center or your dealer.

The network expansion card (optional) is not installed correctly or is not working
correctly due to damage or malfunction. Reinstall the network expansion card.
The 550 sheet feeder (optional) is not installed correctly or is not working correctly
due to damage or malfunction. Reinstall the sheet feeder.
The duplex unit (optional) is not installed correctly or is not working correctly due to
damage or malfunction. Reinstall the duplex unit.
The additional memory (optional) is not installed correctly or is not working correctly
due to damage or malfunction. Reinstall the additional memory.
An unsupported additional memory (optional) is installed. Replace the specified
additional memory.
Tray xxxx is out of paper, or the specified paper could not be detected in tray xxxx.
Supply Tray xxxx with the following size, direction, and type of paper: XXXX. xxx
indicates the number of the tray or bypass tray.
