Oil Level Inspection

Start the engine and run at idle for
approximately five minutes.
Stop the engine, then wait for at least
three minutes to allow the oil to settle.
Note the oil level visible in the sight
glass.
When correct, oil should be visible in
the sight-glass at a point mid-way
between the two horizontal lines
marked on the crankcase.
NOTE
The actual level is indicated when
the
upright, not on the side stand.
If it is necessary to top-off the oil level,
remove the filler plug and add oil, a
little at a time, until the level registered
engine
or
in the sight glass is correct. On
Scrambler models, a suitable funnel
may be required to add oil to the oil
filler hole.
