▼ Fill the engine with a Semi or fully
synthetic
motorcycle engine oil which meets
specification API SH (or higher) and
JASO MA, such as Castrol Power 1
Racing 4T 10W-40 (fully synthetic)
engine oil, sold as Castrol Power RS
Racing 4T 10W-40 (fully synthetic) in
some countries.
▼ Start the engine and allow it to idle
for a minimum of 30 seconds.
Raising the engine speed above idle
before the oil reaches all parts of the
engine can cause engine damage or
seizure.
Only raise engine speed after running
the engine for 60 seconds to allow the
engine oil to circulate fully.
If the engine oil pressure is too low,
the low oil pressure warning light will
illuminate. If this light stays on when
the engine is running, stop the engine
immediately and investigate the cause.
Running the engine with low oil
pressure will cause engine damage.
▼ Make sure that the low oil pressure
warning light remains off and the oil
pressure message is not shown in
the instrument display screen.
▼ Stop the engine and recheck the oil
level. Adjust if necessary.

To protect the environment, do not pour
oil on the ground, down sewers or
drains, or into groundwater sources.
Do not place used oil filters in with
general waste. If in doubt, contact your
local authority.
