1 Clutch Cable
The motorcycle is equipped with a cable
operated clutch.
If the clutch lever has excessive free-play, the
clutch may not disengage fully and could
then cause the engine to stall and create
difficulties when shifting gear. Conversely, if
the clutch lever has insufficient free-play the
clutch may not engage fully, causing clutch
slip.
Clutch lever free-play must be checked in
accordance with scheduled maintenance
requirements.

• Check that there is 0.08-0. 1 2 in (2-3
mm) of clutch lever free-play at the
point shown in the diagram above.
• If there is an incorrect amount of free-
play, adjustments must be made.
