· Switch off all lights and turn ignition key to
position 0.
· Using a screw driver, press the guide lug
and pull out the entire lamp housing.
· Press down the spring clip and undo the
connector from the lamp housing.
· Twist the bulb holder anticlockwise and
remove it.
· Press the bulb inwards, turn it anticlockwise
and remove it from the bulb holder.
· Replace with a new bulb and refit the bulb
holder in the lamp housing.
· Press the connector back onto the lamp
holder.
· Switch on the ignition and check that the
new bulb lights.
· Press the lamp housing home and check that
it is seated securely.

All bulbs in the rear lamp cluster can be
replaced from inside the cargo compartment.
· Switch off all lights and turn ignition key to
position 0.
· Unlock and fold down the side panel
inwards to allow access to the bulbs. On the
right-hand side, it is easier to access the
bulbs if you first extend the load curtain as
much as possible.
The bulbs are located in a removable lamp
holder which is secured with two locking pins.
To replace bulbs in the lamp holder:

Press the locking pins towards one another
in order to remove the lamp holder from the
lamp housing.
·
Replace the bulb.
·
Press back the lamp holder.
·
Close and secure the side panel.

NOTE! If the error message "LAMP
FAULT" / "CHECK BRAKE
LIGHT" remains after a faulty bulb
has been replace then an authorised
Volvo workshop needs to be consulted
to rectify the fault.
NOTE! LED brake light bulbs should be
replaced at a Volvo workshop.
