POWERMAX V14 - MANUAL UPDATES
This addendum describes changes in features, functionality and interface of the PowerMax system version 14.
The changes mentioned in this addendum are updates to the accompanying Installer and User Guides.
The changes apply to the following features:
New zone type: "Outdoor Zone"
New menu option for PGM (behaves as Siren)
Arming via MCM-140 triggers squawk
Exit/entry beeps setup
Outdoor Zone
This section is an update to the PowerMax Installer Guide para. 4.3 "Defining Zone Types, Names and Chime
Zones".
The "Outdoor Zone" is a new zone type that can be assigned to each of the system's 30 zones.
An Outdoor Zone is used mainly for outdoor areas where an activated alarm does not indicate intrusion into the
house. When the detector that is assigned to the Outdoor Zone detects a disturbance, it triggers an alarm and
reports it to private phones, but does not report the alarm to the Central Station (the Outdoor Zone is not
compatible with the DD243 UK standard).
Defining PGM Output Siren Parameters
This section consists of updates to the PowerMax Installer Guide - para. 4.8 "Defining Output Parameters".
A new menu has been added to the PGM menu to trigger an external wired siren if no fixed external siren output
is installed.
