When the panel is attached to an optional battery source, a lower brightness settings information
button appears to suggest lower value settings for prolong the battery life.
Refer to the Touch Panel Brightness and Contrast Ranges table on page 28 for more information in
the brightness and contrast ranges available on the different panel types.

Time button types

This feature sets the button to display time. Select
selected button as a Time button. The time is supplied to the button by the Controller. The button
type

If the date and time on a touch panel is changed, then that information is relayed to the Central
Controller. The Controller incorporates this change to its own systems and resets the date/time on
any connected/communicating panel types. An example is if the time is changed on panel #1, the
Central Controller reads this change and rests its own time. After this reset, it communicates the
new time change to other panel types that it is either connected to or communicating with.

Date button types

This feature sets the button to display the date. Select
selected button to Date. The Date button sets the button to display the current date. The Central
Controller supplies the date to the button. The button type
the Button Properties page. To open the Time/Date page, press

Keypad button types

This sets the button to open the keypad so you can enter a password or value assignment. Select
KEYPAD
and associated options appear in the Button Properties page. All keypad buttons are interactive
except for the entry field.

Keyboard button types

This feature sets the button to open a keyboard so you can enter a name or string. Select
KEYBOARD
KEYBOARD
are interactive except for the message field.

Setup button types

This feature sets the button to open the Setup page. Select
the selected button to Setup.
