Resetting the WebLinx Server

The Reset Server option performs a what's new look for all changes, deletions, and/or additions
made to the WebLinx Server. Then, it saves the new information in memory and returns to the
Server Links page. Furthermore, each time you make changes to the WebLinx Server information,
you should use the Reset Server operation to synchronize the WebLinx server with up-to-date
information. You will see a Server is Being Reset message appear until the operation is complete.

Shutting down the WebLinx Server

The Shutdown WebLinx button shuts down the WebLinx Server, and disables all communication
between it and all linked systems. Since the whole purpose for having the WebLinx Administrator
program is monitoring and resolving system problems, you should not shut down the server unless
it's absolutely necessary. The rule is to keep the server running 24/7. However, follow these steps if
you must shut down the WebLinx Server:
1. Click Server Links on the main page.
2. Click Shutdown Server. Then, click OK on the confirmation dialog box to shut the server
down. Refer to Installing and Launching the WebLinx Server and IDK when you're ready to
start the WebLinx Server.
